Daytime Program Activities at Skyline

Archery

-Girls get to shoot bows & arrows at targets with a tournament of our top archers at the end of the session to earn club points!

Arts and Crafts

-Girls get to work on arts and crafts projects they get to take home. Some days including only items from nature, or a specific craft, so they learn to collaborate on artistic ideas! Lead by a local artist!

Bible Study

-Girls get to learn how to study your bible, and how to discuss topics presented in the bible! Girls are reviewing topics by age group with Sally (older) or Frances (younger)!

Canoeing

-In canoeing, girls are learning Paddling, steering, or riding in the canoe with your friends. We offer a canoeing trip to Desoto Falls (local beautiful park and view) for the oldest girls!

Circus

-Our circus class is one of a kind! Girls are flying in the air on our trapeze or mexican cloud swing and learning and hoping to master tricks actually used in the circus still today!

Cheerleading

-Girls interested in cheerleading get to work on stunts and a cheerleading routine to perform for all of camp at showtime! It’s great if your girls are already cheerleaders or are interested in trying it while at camp!

Cooking

-In cooking, each day the girls learnto cook a new item with your friends and building a cook book of the recipes to share when you get home! One of our most popular activities - the girls love to snack and learn in our cooking class!

Dance

-Girls work on a dance routine throughout the session and perform it for camp during showtime! They also learn great skills in form, technique, stretching, and more!

Fitness

-In fitness, our girls learn form and technique for working out and exercising! The class includes different guests and topics, like yoga or hiking, so they can explore many physical interests!

Gymnastics

-Girls work on their gymnastics and learn a routine with their counselor to perform at showtime! We also offer advanced gymnastics for girls with a standing back handspring!

Horseback Riding

-Girls get to ride horses each day. They are split into one of three riding rings based on ability and learn based on their riding level, beginner to competitive! We have a horseshow at the end of the session for our top riders selected throughout the session!

Home Science

-Girls spend time learning to grow herbs, have a tea party, learn table setting, and more! Each day brings a new focus in this fun activity!

Mountain Biking

-Our oldest girls are able to take mountain biking, where they learn to ride the bikes and bike maintenance through the session. We offer an optional mountain biking trip to local trails with a professional guide as well!

Musical Theater

-Girls work on a play they perform at the end of the session for camp! The play includes songs, choreographed dances, and more! These girls get to showcase their talents to all of camp!

Painting

-Our painting class includes a new painting each day, some including certain challenges or techniques so they can learn new things about the art of painting! The girls get to bring home their paintings to keep!

Pickleball

-A fun sport, pickleball, is offered here at camp for girls to learn the rules, singles, and doubles work at the instruction of an expert counselor!

Photography

-Girls that are interested in photography are invited to bring their cameras to camp and learn from local professionals and our media team about lenses, angles, and more! They take pictures throughout the session and get to select one to print and show everyone!

Pottery

-Pottery is great for our artsy girls! They get to build and mold projects and paint them before being a new take-home creation!

Riflery

-girls get to learn gun safety, aiming, and technique for shooting at targets. and the top shooters get to compete in a tournament against other girls for club points!

Ropes Course

-Girls get to conquer heights and play in the air! We have a high ropes course for our older girls, and lower ropes for our younger girls! We have multiple elements designed for team work and some individual!

Set Design

-For our ‘behind the scenes’ girls, we offer set design for our musical theatre play where girls get to design, paint, and decorate for the play put on by the girls in musical theatre! Some girls do sign up for both as well!

Sports

-For our athletic girls, or girls wanting to learn more sports, we offer our sports class as an array of sports each day. They get to learn the rules of multiple sports and showcase their talents!

Fun Swim

-Fun swim is just that - FUN! We have our swimming pool, and river activities - including the blob, waterslide, and lilly pad! Girls can hang out and swim and move between these options with their buddy!

Tennis

-Girls get to learn the rules, singles, and doubles work at the instruction of an expert counselor!

Tower

-We have a climbing tower and bouldering wall here at camp, so girls can learn form, technique, and challenge themselves on any of eight walls suspended in the air trying to reach the top!

Volleyball

We have our volleyball activity, where girls get to play sand or court volleyball against other girls! This is a great activity for those already playing at home or one day hoping to, with great opportunities to learn, practice, and volley!

Caving, Survival, and Rappelling (CSR)

-Our CSR class, Caving, Survival, and Rappelling, is a guided change to learn each of these items: Caving, Survival, and Rappelling. With so many local caves, our girls get the chance to cave and rappel local spots on the mountain!
