Merry Christmas From Camp Skyline!
Merry Christmas Camp Skyline Family! Whew have we had a full day up here on the mountain! We started our morning in the gym with a special visit from Santa! He brought every cabin a full stocking and read us all a christmas book. After hanging out with Santa for a bit we all had breakfast in our christmas pajamas, the Skyline Sunday special, Doughnuts and strawberries!
After breakfast we all changed into our church clothes and headed to Sunday School with our cabins. Then church! Church is always so good at Camp Skyline. All campers gather together in the gym for worship led by the Counselor Choir and it is a beautiful moment. Then church was led by our guest speaker Aisa, who dives deeper into the summer theme, The Armor of God!
After church we had “Christmas dinner” for lunch! Dressing and turkey! Then an extended rest hour to reset for the week of fun ahead.
After some much needed rest, we had carnival! Carnival takes place all over campus with so many open stations. The pool, blob, inflatables, face paint, bracelet making, snow cones, popcorn, and just so much more! Fun takes place all over camp and the whole campus is full of life. For dinner we have a picnic where campers fix their plates and get to hangout around camp with their friends!
In true Sunday fashion, we ended the night with counselor hunt! Counselor hunt is a club competition so the campers go all out with themes! The rangers dressed as princesses, Troopers dressed as Laney boys, and Mounties were cowgirls! This game is a huge game of hide and seak, where the counselors hide and campers search. Each counselor found gives the finding club points! Guess who won tonight!
