Hi everyone, it’s Alexis bringing y’all the blog today! I’m so excited to fill y’all in on the exciting moments we have at camp! I can’t believe tomorrow is our last day of activities - this session has sadly flown by! On the positive side, our third session campers have blown us away in their day time and night time activities! I know the campers will have awesome thingns and stroes to tell y’all when they get picked up! Camp provides awesome memories and experiences that the campers cherish forever!
Let’s get into some highlights from our activities! During first period I noticed girls up in circus soaring in the wind doing all sorts of fun tricks and flips! They were even showing off their strength by carrying the mats to the circus zone all by themselves! Our ropes girls are still up and at it, getting across each obstacle so effortlessly! And archery is killing it as usual! Everytime I pass by, they are either shooting bulls-eye’s or close to it! The sports activity was all over camp today! I saw them at the Gaga Ball Pit, then the basketball court playing a game and then another time playing a game with balloons! Canoeing left for Desoto Falls early this morning and got back right before first Beli Deli! We had a little bit of a rainy day, but that didn’t stop our campers from having fun! The LT’s moved into the maintenance shed to make LT bracelets! Speaking of the rain… we had a rainy day dance party in the gym during fifth and sixth period! It was just so much fun! They were shown exactly how to make them and it was so fun to learn with the girls! Arts and crafts always have the cutest things planned - today they were modge podging cloth to a jar that would later be used as a night light! Isn’t that so neat?! Cooking was making some yummy foods today! One class made Arroz con Leche while the other class made Causa Limeña which is a chicken filled layered potato dish! Fitness was treated to a nice and relaxing yoga class from a yoga instructor! It was so calming and I’m sure the girls loved it! Swimming was taking full advantage of the pool on this hot day on the mountain and they loved every second of it! From tricks off the diving board to playing in the shallow end with friends, the smiles never left their faces! Today in CSR, Larry was showing the girls how to tie knots! I was confused just watching, but the girls picked up the technique like it was nothing! Set design is finishing up last minute touches on props, clothes and more for show time tomorrow night! All of their hard work and creativity is so appreciated and it is always showcased very well within the performance!
Now let’s get into the night time activity… SPEED CHALLENGE
Speed Challenge got moved into the gym due to the rain… but that didn’t stop the girls from having just as much fun! Each club raced for club points with high energy and complete dedication - they did NOT disappoint! They never stopped cheering for their club and even their competitors! The sportsmanship is like none other here at Skyline! Are you ready for the results?!
