Hi everyone! This is Alexis again! I’m so excited to fill y’all in on what happened around camp today! Luckily, the rain from yesterday cooled it off just a tad, but it still was on the warmer side. I can’t believe how fast this session is going by and I’m so sad the campers only have three more days with us! I know they all have had such a great time making new friends, trying new activities and getting out of their comfort zones! Now… let’s get into the fun stuff!!!
As I was walking around camp taking pictures of the campers durng their activities, I decided I wanted to give ropes a try! I figured the pictures would turn out really cool from up there so I got geared up and started climbing! I applaud all of the campers for having the bravery to go for it, because it definitely is a lot harder than it seems! Once I got situated, it didn’t take long for the girls to put on their smiling faces for all of the pictures! Over at riflery we had three campers, Anne Archer Perrine, Harper Hunt and Eliza Jane Mattis, get bull’s-eyes! Eliza Jane even got TWO bull’s-eyes!!! We have such talented campers! Our camp photographer, Eden, got pictures of them as they smiled big with their targets! As I was walking past the tennis courts, I noticed Pickle playing Pickleball with some of the campers. Ironic right?! I just had to snap a picture! In the cooking activity they were making the Peruvian dish, Causa Limeña, which is a chicken filled layered potato dish… it looked DEEELISHHH!!!! CSR was out for the majority of the day adventuring through the caves at Howards Waterfall in Trenton, GA! There are so many other things I could go on and on about, but let’s move foward to the night time activity!
The night time activity was the Speed Challenge! This activity is a friendly competition between all three clubs where they compete for club points! Interested in what this game looks like?! Well, basically it looks like a bunch of girls running all over doing challenging and funny tasks while trying to complete them as fast as they can in order to receieve the most points for their club! The campers were so eager to get started that they were crossing with cookies in hand!!! As a camper, it’s a lot of fun to participate in this activity, but I feel like I had just as much fun watching the chaos while I was taking pictures of it all going down!
Are you ready for the results???!!!
