Hey Parents! Let me tell you, it has been a hot day in Mentone, Alabama. I am so glad to see all these cute waterbottles yall sent! The beautiful smell of sweat and sunscreen truly tells me that the camp is here. We did have a cool evening, which made for a perfect movie night on the tennis courts.
We started out our day saying bye to the mini’s… what a sad day!!! We already can’t wait to see them next year. I know their counselors especially miss their presence.
Activities were working hard today! The young sports class played gaga ball this morning and got real competitive. These campers just can’t get enough gaga ball. I hung out with riflery for a bit today and man these girls have aim! It is so cool seeing campers switch from silly goofy girls to serious riflemen mode. It is impressive! Our musical theatre class is really working hard too! They are learning their lines quicker than I ever could! We had a ton of ladies sign up for the class so it is a full cast for sure. I can’t wait for them to perform it at Show Time Wednesday!
We are still looking for he horseshoe… If you aren’t aware of what the horseshoe is, it is hidden by Mrs. Frances before each session and the first club to find it gets a TON of points towards the point cup awarded at banquet! She must have hidden it REALLY well! She has given three clues already!
Tonight’s activity was MOVIE NIGHT! It is one of the best. We stay so active at camp that it is nice to occasionally just hangout in the cool breeze and watch a movie. Tonight’s movie was Parent Trap! A camp classic! Ad of course we had to have popcorn!
Goodnight from the mountain! I’ll talk with you all tomorrow!
