Hello Camp Family!!
I can’t believe November is already here!! I hope all of you are excited about leaves changing, weather getting cooler and Thanksgiving right around the corner. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. This is a time when a lot of my extended family get together. I am so thankful to be able to do that and share that time with them.
When I think about being thankful I can’t help but think about all the girls that come and have come to camp. I wish I knew how many girls have come through Skyline’s doors in the past 78 (soon to be 79) summers. I am thankful for all the ones that came before me and after. Y’all have made Skyline what it is, y’all have carried on the traditions of being Mounties, Rangers and Troopers! Our campers are the ones that keep coming back to make this place special!!
So, just to name a few things I am thankful for:
Third session ladies, I am thankful for y’all too. Spending Christmas in July and getting to see all of you for milk and cookies is so much fun.
And to all of you that have ever been campers before, THANK YOU for making Skyline so very special to so many people, especially me.
In Him,
Sally
Sally is a Rome, Georgia native and started attending Camp Skyline in 1977. She loved the camp experience so much she wanted to give back, so she became a counselor. In 1997 she and her husband Larry purchased camp and haven’t looked back!
