The Skyline Foundation was founded on the love and commitment of a group of women and men who went to camp or sent their daughters to camp. Skyline changed their lives and those of their daughters forever. The Foundation wants to provide the same wonderful experience for other young women.
Established in 2003 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Skyline Foundation sponsors girls who could not otherwise financially afford to attend Camp Skyline. After being carefully reviewed by the Foundation Board, scholarship recipients are selected from submitted applications. Full and partial scholarships are offered to deserving applicants. Since its inception, Skyline Foundation, Inc. has granted around 12 scholarships each year.
As Lucy Spann says so well,
“I have the privilege of serving as president of the Skyline Foundation. Each of the ladies on the Foundation Board deeply loves Camp Skyline. We all attended Skyline as campers, counselors, or both, and many of us also have daughters that attended Skyline or are current or future Skyline campers. Since Skyline made such a wonderful impact on our lives, we want to pass on the opportunity to other girls. We award scholarships annually to girls who otherwise could not afford to attend Camp Skyline. Since the foundation began in 2003, we have awarded over 200 scholarships!”
