2020 LT Registration is Open
Not only did Mother Daughter Weekend registration open this week, but registration for our Leadership Training (LT) program did, too! The LT Program provides our oldest campers, rising 11th graders, an opportunity to experience a new role at Skyline, if they desire to do so. The LT Program is just that – a program to develop leadership skills. We tailor the experience to prepare campers for all areas of their lives whether at school, church, extra-curricular activities, peer groups, and jobs.
What does it look like to take part in the Leadership Training Program?
- LTs participate in LT class. This activity period includes team building activities, group discussions, activity observation, activity facilitation, and Bible study.
- LTs assist counselors in teaching one activity period with younger campers.
- LTs assist cabin counselors with their campers at dinner time and bed time.
- LTs assist leading and facilitating camp-wide activities.
- LTs arrive at camp one day early for LT Orientation and to help with camp’s Opening Day procedures.
As you can see the LTs work hard while at camp and as a result they walk away from camp a better leader! We are so excited to see what this summer’s group of LTs bring to the table. If your daughter is signed up for camp and a rising 11th grader keep your eye on the mail because the LT application is headed your way. We would love to have her participate!
