What are you looking forward to most as a head counselor this summer? I am so excited for the opportunity to spend another summer on top of Lookout Mountain. I remember as a kid my favorite time of the year was when I got to pack my trunk and head to Camp Skyline. So this summer I’m looking forward to being a part of the campers’ Skyline experience! I can’t wait to witness their growth spiritually, see new friendships formed and to help them along the way!
What are you currently doing with your life? Right now, you can find me at Flagler College probably either in the library or at the beach! I’m graduating this spring with an Art History Degree, a Business Degree and a minor in Finance. After graduation is a bit of a different story, currently I’m looking into my different options. I don’t quite know where I’ll end up, but I’m excited to see what God has in store for me!
How has Skyline impacted your life? My mom dropped me off at camp for the first time when I was 7 years old. As a kid, I’m going to be real, I was a little on the quirky and introverted side and by a little I mean a lot! At Camp Skyline, though, I never felt out of place and I never struggled to make a friend. Camp Skyline encouraged me as a camper to embrace who I was and continued to as a counselor. I’m so fortunate to spend my summer working with amazing, Godly women who are beautiful inside and out and serve as such positive role models for both the campers and fellow counselors. I count myself lucky to consider them some of my closest friends! And I thank God for the influential role Camp Skyline has played in my life.
What’s your favorite camp meal? When baked potato day rolls around I am one happy gal! Also, any cookies Ms. Donna makes are dangerously delicious!
